??? apparently it should work for you at 2.4.17.

Not sure what you mean by "apply it to CVS".

It would be nice to have a newer "recommended/suggested" GCC.
Though to be honest I've never had any problem with HJ Lu's rh71.
Just thought I do the favour of "tester", for Steve.
