Jim Wilson:
I used higher version of crosstool-crosstool-0.43 and it
compiled sucessfully. I can also find the toolchain binaries
in the path "/opt/crosstool/".but when i used that to compile
kernel comfigured for Db1200 board,it showed me the following
errors:
suse:/home/LINUXAU1200/linux # make
arch/mips/Makefile:776: warning: overriding commands for target `mips-boot'
arch/mips/Makefile:771: warning: ignoring old commands for target `mips-boot'
scripts/split-include include/linux/autoconf.h include/config
mips_nfp_le-gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/home/LINUXAU1200/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -fomit-frame-pointer -I /home/LINUXAU1200/linux/include/asm/gcc -G 0 -mno-abicalls -fno-pic -pipe -mcpu=r4600 -mips2 -Wa,--trap -DKBUILD_BASENAME=main -c -o init/main.o init/main.c
make: mips_nfp_le-gcc: Command not found
make: *** [init/main.o] Error 127
suse:/home/LINUXAU1200/linux #
i know this error prompts only if we did not specify the
path to the toolchain. but i specifed as follows:
export PATH=/opt/crosstool/gcc-x.x.x-glibc-x.x.x/mipsel-linux/bin:$PATH
But then also i was not successfull. can anyone say me where am i going wrong?
thanks in advance,
saravanan.
