Subject: [PATCH 6/8] x86, acpi: Make acpi_initrd_override() available with va or pa.
Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2013 18:15:41 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1377080143-28455-7-git-send-email-tangchen@cn.fujitsu.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <1377080143-28455-1-git-send-email-tangchen@cn.fujitsu.com>
We are using the same trick in previous patch.
Introduce a "bool is_phys" to acpi_initrd_override(). When it
is true, convert all golbal variables va to pa, so that we can
access them on 32bit before paging is enabled.
NOTE: Do not call printk() on 32bit before paging is enabled
because it will use global variables.
