Subject: [PATCH 26 of 30] madvise(MADV_HUGEPAGE)
Date: Thu, 21 Jan 2010 07:20:50 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <d5341c9e01e8ba5a91f1.1264054850@v2.random> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <patchbomb.1264054824@v2.random>
From: Andrea Arcangeli <aarcange@redhat.com>
Add madvise MADV_HUGEPAGE to mark regions that are important to be hugepage
backed. Return -EINVAL if the vma is not of an anonymous type, or the feature
isn't built into the kernel. Never silently return success.
