where would the drive D come from?
It looks like you are accidentally using an older version of the
dosemu script than the one from 1.1.5.6 you said you are using.
try
$ which dosemu
it should say something like /usr/local/bin/dosemu
then try
grep "DOS drive D" /usr/local/bin/dosemu
there should be no matches.

it wants to map ~HOME
It looks like you are accidentally using an older version of the

There are no matches

yes, I know, but this message was only in older DOSEMUs. The message you
refer to is no longer in DOSEMU 1.1.5.6.

which dosemu *cannot* say
"/usr/bin/local"
Please be more verbose.
What does "dosemu" *exactly* say to you? "blabla" doesn't help me (or you
for that matter). If in doubt, re-run "make install".

Now that the pipein pipeout is understood ( by me )
I can tell you the version is 1.1.5.6 because that is what
I get when I type echo -e version \\r\\n >> pipein
My install is an upgrade though.....
maybe a clean install will help some of the issues, but the pipein and out
was/is the most important to me. I can clean other things up later.
Tell me about the syntax for the keystroke command in pipemode
or point me to the docs.
