Subject: fdbootcd.iso header lacks magic string
Date: Sat, 03 May 2003 16:54:04 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <01KVGNCGMVZ2967TTA@SMTP00.InfoAve.Net> (raw)

ok, sorry about all the freedos questions.
it seems to be causeing more probles then dosemu.

anyway i have another.
a while back i downloaded the iso from the freedos site that was about 55 meg:

56786944 Sep 15 2002 fdbootcd.iso

i was trying to use it for dosemu directly(i no longer have a CD burner), but
keep getting the same error

phrostie@llano:~$ xdosemu

DOSEMU will run in its own X window.
To terminate it you have three choices:
   - type <Ctrl>-C _here_ (not in the dosemu window)
   - type <Ctrl><Alt><PgDn> in the dosemu window
   - execute 'exitemu' at the DOS prompt

Hint: if you want $HOME as DOS drive D:, then use the '-home' option
Linux kernel 2.4.19; CPU speed is 1095353000 Hz
Dosemu-1.1.4.0 Running on CPU=586, FPU=1
no console
ERROR: IMAGE /home/dos/fdbootcd.iso header lacks magic string - cannot
autosense!
phrostie@llano:~$

Another problem i've been having is the -home option.
it does not seem to be working.

any help would be appreciated.
