This is what happens trying to read the directory:- C:\>dir a: Error reading from drive A: DOS area: sector not found (A)bort, ... etc] The drive light doesn't even come on. I changed my dosemu.conf to read as follows:- # floppy drive types: "threeinch" or "fiveinch" or "atapi" or empty, # if non-existant. Optionally the device may be appended such as # "threeinch:/dev/fd0". Default: "threeinch" for A:, "" for B: $_floppy_a = "threeinch:/dev/fd0" # $_floppy_b = "" Originally I tried with just the $_floppy_a = "threeinch" and it also doesn't help read the stiffy.
