cdrom's and dosemu

cdrom's and dosemu

I know this a beat subject. I have checked the archives I have checked google, freedos, schsucdx. They all sya just but cdrom.sys in config.sys and mscdex/shsucdx in autoexec.bat. Well that does not work so there must be some more information some where.point me to the link that has it and i will be happy to go read it. or better yet but it the FAQ. the standard check the archives answers is not helping.

P.S using dosemu 1.0.2 will be giving it a shot in 1.1.3 tongiht

Have you mounted that cd into Linux tree?

Then ln -snf ...mountpoint... /var/lib/dosemu/drives/LETTER

Why not?

IIRC mscdex uses the MFS-Part of DOS. Old versions of freedos didnt't
support mfs. If freedos is too old, Evan should try a newer version.
Just try lredir. If lredir dosn't work, then mscdex will not work too.
