problems by faking file extensions

hi all,

i've tried to fake file extensions

$_emusys = "emu"
$_emubat = "emu"

dosemu 1.0.2.1 is loading

config.sys
autoexec.emu

logging output is:

conf: config.emusys = "emu"
conf: config.emubat = "emu"

can anybody help?

It depends on your DOS. For future compatibility you should only use
$_emusys. $_emubat is obsolet.
You could try a developmentversion of dosemu (1.1.4) or a testing version
(1.1.4.10).
