Subject: i just ain't gettin' it
Date: Fri, 7 Feb 2003 18:05:41 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <200302071805.41477.jsowden@americansentry.net> (raw)

Please pardon my slowness.
1) doing a "/" search in the dosemu manpage responds with "no pattern found"
for input or quiet. I have to assume that my manpage is not current. It is
what came with Suse 8.0.

2) I am not clear ("crystal" or otherwise) what the sequence of execution is
when dosemu is executed. This is what is keeping me from understanding the
relevance of all of these commands that are being suggested Icmdline, unix
-e, etc.)

3) what I am looking to do is execute a different starting batch other than
"autoexec.bat" upon startup.

4) this may be the wrong approach. I am looking for, as an alternative, a
command line option to do something to cause my final startup batch (the one
with prompt, sets, aliases, etc.) on my dos d: drive to make a decision.
This might be to set an enviornment variable, create a flag file that I can
test for later, then discard, or ...?
