Hello,
I am disapointed; I have downloaded "dosemu-freedos-bin.tgz" and
"dosemu-1.0.2.1-bin.tgz" like is recommanded in QuickStart and
README.bindist.
I have followed the proceeding of README.bindist.
When I key: ./dosemu, the following is displayed:
DOSEMU will run on this terminal.
..................................
.................................
Now ENTER to start DOSEMU or <Ctrl>C to cancel
When I key ENTER, I have no prompt DOS, I have the Linux teminal prompt.
I have displayed boot.log: "Running unpriviledged in low feature mode".
I do not understand this sentence.
I run with Linux kernel: 2.4.19 with Mandrake distribution 9.0.
Thanks a lot in advance if you can help me.
I am a poor new user of Linux !
Best regards,
Claude Filippini

DOSemu doesn't find dosemu-freedos-bin.tgz or you haven't write access to the
dosemu directory. I think in dosemu-1.0.2.1 you need root rights. Make
yourself root and copy dosemu-freedos-bin.tgz to /var/lib/dosemu (I hope that
is the right directory for this version). Otherwise look for a log file
called boot.log which will show the error messages. In the newer versions you
will find this file in $HOME/.dosemu/, I don't know where you find it in
dosemu-1.0.2.1.
Hope that helps
Claudia
