We were forced to do this for a customer (burglars stole 7 machines, including 2 servers) and speed and delay problems dissapeared. The problem that remains is that VLM under DOSemu loses idle connections after about 10 minutes. We have both a Cobol and a Paradox accounting apps that work finely; and I suppose that is because they keep talking to the server in the background. If you need database locks and your app remains idle for more than say 5 minutes, mars-nwe is NOT the answer. Otherwise it works very well. HTH -- Enrique Baraibar
