Subject: stack fault due to CPU bug?
Date: Fri, 18 Jun 2004 01:00:13 +0100 (BST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20040618000013.46769.qmail@web53104.mail.yahoo.com> (raw)
hi,
i'm running dosemu-1.2.1 on linux 2.4 on an Intel
pentium3 (Coppermine) process with freedos and it
starts fine.
however, whenever i try to load the game "syndicate",
dosemu crashes with the error:
-------------
ERROR: Stack Fault due to a CPU bug!
For more information read a chapter "Specification
Clarifications"
section 4 of the document "Intel386 DX Processor
Specification Update"
at
http://www.intel.com/design/intarch/specupdt/27287402.PDF
If your program uses a dos4gw DOS extender, try dos32a
extender
instead, which may solve the problem.
ERROR: SS selector invalid: 0x6C10, type=0 np=1
ERROR: leavedos() called from within a signal context!
-------------
is there anything that can be done to overcome this
issue or is it an issue known?
thanks in advance.
ray
