Hello,

I got a complicated problem with the combination vnc - Dosemu:
Picture the following.
Got a Dos Programm. It runs under Linux on the Server. You can print, and on
the server everything is fine. You can also print from the Client. This
works...
The DosBox runs with the msdos.sys, io.sys, command.com and some other
elements of the original MS-DOS 6.2

The Server runs VNC-Server. You can login the server from the client.
It is possible to run DOSEMU from the client on the Server. Also from many
Clients on one Server.

The problem is the following.
I can start DOSEMU two ways
dosemu <return>
dosemu -X <return> to start it in a XTerminal to get the better looking
environment.

Both of these two ways work not properly.
If I start it the dosemu <return> way, the environment looks not so good,
and the Capitals 'A' and 'S' (<caps> + A and <caps> + S) can not be used
(not shown by typing).
This is on both, Server and Client as well. This seems to be a DOSEMU
Problem.

So I take the dosemu -X <return> to start dosemu in a XTerm.
On the server everything is OK (Well, it runs better than original DOS,).
But, if I type a '2' on the clinet (over vnc) I get a 'q' on the screen.
'.' and some other characters are not at their origin place and do not work.

The effect only occurs, when dosemu ist started in a XTerm. It is not a
error of the vnc. If I write '2' in the vnc XTerm I get '2'.

Do you know how to handle this effect?
Hope you can help me.

I already tried some parameters in the dosemu.conf, and global.conf and in
the XTerm setting File. No success.

Best Rgts, Bastian Schaefer

I don't know anything about vnc, but dosemu and Xdosemu work well with
my .dosemurc. Try this configuration (for german keyboard layout).
