I have never been fully success with freedos, so I suppose you should check
other DOS first. There's a lot of bootdisk images available on the web -
start with MS DOS 6.22.
BTW... is this compiler is really a must? Theres lot of other C compiler you
could check (djgpp, turboc, pure c...?).
