Can DOSEMU spawn a Linux program or shell?

Sorry to repeat myself.

I need some of my DOS programs running under DOSEMU to be able
to spawn other programs.  Normally these will be Linux programs.

Is there any way that DOSEMU can open up a Linux shell outside of
DOSEMU??

Ouch!!!  I apologize unreservedly for missing that!! I have no idea how
I managed to overlook it in the docs. Just trying to do too many things 
at once, I suppose.  

I do apologize to the list, and I thank you for the information, as well
as the 
remarkable restraint in your replies (!)

(I think you would have been very justified in adding quite a few 
@#$%@#% symbols to the RTFM line.)
