Ok-ok, no problems. I wasn't aware so many
people are listening. So let's continue that
thread on-list.
I'll forward a couple of messages I received
that were not CCd to the list.

It's a matter of simultaneous MIDI playback and recording. Picture
yourself recording a musical performance in the midst of several other
musicians who are playing their parts. Now imagine how difficult it
would
be to record that same musical performance if none of the other musicians
were there -- but instead they each sent you tapes of their own
performances in the mail. The experience would be the same if you
recorded
MIDI to files ahead of time under Linux.

Thanks for the patch!
