Subject: 4 seconds pause before printing
Date: Fri, 23 Jan 2004 08:37:06 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <4010CF22.3030703@misbb.sk> (raw)
Hello,
I use DOSEMU under Debian Woody, GNOME 1.4, Linux 2.6.1. I have
printers running by CUPS. When I print from inside DOSEMU, there is 4
secs pause before printing starts. The pause dosen't depend on CPU or
machine load, dosen't depend on the program (even copying file to lpt
under DOSEMU has the exactly pause), and I have verified it on three
computers, two of them with EPSON LX-300 and one with HPDJ320. When
printing from Linux, no such pause takes place.
What could it be?
I'm happy the DOSEMU runs and I don't complain -the pause is
something man can learn to live with. But question is still there. What
is going on?
Greet You
Peter
