Try upgrading dosemu from CVS, its

You don't have to set $_ports, you
should use $_com1 instead. Well, if
you want a direct access, you have
to disable $_com1 and use
"device /dev/null", that option basically
does nothing.

That should be 0x3f8, not ox03f8
And you normally should not use $_ports
at all.
