Yes, this must be possible. You won't hear any sound in most cases, but the mixer will work, and so will the OPL3. Just don't forget to tell your DOS programs that it is the Adlib, not SB, or the detection will fail. Actually, even the sound will work in some very old games like "Another World", which do not use the DMA.
