Claudia,

Thanks for the reply.

Adding "call" to the batch file doesn't make any difference. I forgot to 
mention my previous post, I do get an error message,

"ERROR: could not change directory"

and then the dosemu command line. The problem seems to be that the 
change directory command "cd" doesn't work in a batch file when called 
by xdosemu with -E. Does this make sense?
