Hi!
The kernel used is the out-of-the-box kernel of Suse 10.0: Linux version
2.6.13-15.7-smp (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.0.2 20050901 (pre
release) (SUSE Linux)) #1 SMP Tue Nov 29 14:32:29 UTC 2005.
This is a 64-bit system. I havn't recompiled a kernel yet. If it is really
necessary, any help for a newbie would be much appreciated.
I need dosemu for a clipper program. Does it make sense to compile dosemu
without the need for vm86plus?
Thank you very much,
Wolfgang

Hello.

That explains why have you specified everything but
the version of dosemu you are trying to run. :)

You need to get dosemu sources from CVS in order to
compile it for the 64-bit system, but even then it
will be compiled in a 32bit compatibility environment,
which is basically a pain to setup for the novice.
True 64bit support is not complete yet.

Try dosbox first and only if that fails, get back to
compiling the CVS dosemu for the 64bit system.
Alternatively, run the 32bit (i386) linux kernel on
your 64bit system - this will work too.

No.
