Subject: Holding down keys- lock-up
Date: Tue, 18 May 2004 17:29:28 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <5393255A.31F52D3C.68FABC52@netscape.net> (raw)
Greetings Programs,
I use dosemu to run quickbasic programs.
I use keyboard, (instead of mouse) for menuing and the like.
I am using dosemu 1.2.1.0 with FreeDos kernel 1.1.33
While running QB programs, I have noticed if you press
the keys too quickly. The program locks-up.
On old DOS systems, you press and hold a key, and eventually you'll
get that "buffer maxed" beep. It's like, instead of the beep, the
program locks, and I have to focibly kill xdosemu and restart.
This also happens when I run as root in the good ole dosemu console mode.
Any hints of how to avoid the lock-ups?
-C
