Is your Ubuntu 10.04 32 bits? If the answer to both of those questions is "yes", then, it happen= s=20 because DOSEmu in 64 bits has to emulate the instructions for 16 bits,=20 that's not a limitation of DOSEmu but the hardware; if that speed is=20 important to you then reinstall Kubuntu 14.04 in 32 bits instead.
