Subject: DOSEMU 1.4.0.1 - lredir causes hang

Hi,
Firstly, I'd like to say thanks for an excellent DOS emulator and I hope it doesn't sound like I am complaining about it..!
I am having a problem with DOSEMU and, for my own sanity, it would be good to get an idea of what is going on.
I am running Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper) with DOSEMU 1.4.0.1. I have been using this config for several months with no problems at all but then, without any reason I can work out, the lredir function seemed to cause a hang when any file path that used a redirected drive was accessed. I uninstalled DOSEMU, tried to put in an older version (but apt-get wouldn't put 1.2.2 back in) and then reinstalled 1.4.0.1. After about three attempts at that, the lredir problem seemed to go away in 1.4.0.1 (an application I am running was able to "see" a file on a redirected drive without hanging the DOSEMU session). But then, without warning and without any change to the system that I know about (apart from installing WinXP into a VM under VirtualBox), the same app that was working OK now causes a hang when I
try to access the same file as before.
What can I do to try to capture some kind of trace that will show why the files on a path that is on a redirected drive causes a hang?
Any help would be appreciated - thanks!
Regards,
Martin Jewell.
