I read you can run minix in "real mode" in dosemu. Does this mean dosminix?
If i try to run i386 dosminix it says "cannot run 386 kernel on this 8086"
what to do?
how do i run this "real mode"?

you'd need the i8086 dosminix. You might also need to use F3 to enable
software scrolling.

that's the thing, i have the same problem as running 8086 dosminix in xp and
winme

like this is what happens when i try to recompile kernel...

# cd /usr/src/tools/
# make all
cd ../kernel && exec make - all
cd keymaps && make - all
cc -DKEYSRC=\"french.src\" genmap.c
make: Couldn't execute /bin/sh
make in /usr/src/kernel: Exit code 1
make in /usr/src/tools: Exit code 1

i think it's a memory issue... i cant even recompile the kernel... i think
it may be due to the 8086 distribution, that's why i was trying to get 386
one to work.
