I've notice that if I do something like dir ins* it tells me the files don't 
exist but an ls (from xdosemu) will give me a list of them - the files do 
exist.  Am I missing something here?

Works for me. Using dosemu 1.1.99.1.

I'll try again.  I hadn't noticed it befoe but it happened 
consistently last night.
