Subject: "Open Access 4" on dosemu
Date: Wed, 08 Sep 2004 19:05:16 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <chne4d$ma$1@sea.gmane.org> (raw)
Hello,
I need to transfer a MS-DOS program "open access 4" [OA4] from my wife's
dying w98 to a modern linux box.
I installed dosemu (and congrat for the awsome work !) and all works
fine except that OA4 seems to consider my volume full and refuse to
write anything on C:/
Mandrake 10.0
dosemu 1.2.0 (from rpm)
I have rsynced the w98 OA4 folder (program and data) on the linux box
(/home/mcf/PROG and /home/mcf/DATA)
I symlinked the 2 usefull folders from /home/mcf (PROG and DATA) to
~/dosemu/freedos so i have the 2 folders on C:/
Running dosemu from a console in 80*25 is fine and i can run OA4.EXE
without any problem.
I can browse all my existing data. No problem (again it's amazing to
have this working. thanks to all the dev).
When I want to create/modify anything on OA4 i get an error message
"volume X is full".
To be sure I've "chmod -R a+rw" the /home/mcf folder so any iser can RW.
I found nothing on google and your list.
Any idea, pointer, how-to or experience from OA4 user would be great.
Thanks in advance.
When it works i'll make a small how-to in case there is some OA4 users
around ;-)
D.
