Anything else risks mail loops and is a denial of service attack waiting to happen. And will be reported as such to your network provider in the strongest possible terms. Anyone receiving an autoreply to a post they make to the list, please forward it (with headers intact) to me. If you like, you can also use 'whois' or 'traceroute' to find out who provides network service to the offending machine, and report it to their abuse address with a request that the dangerously misconfigured machine be immediately disconnected until its owner fixes it.
