With the help of a friend I recently found a good thesis on workings of
flash and jffs2. It can be very good tutorial for new comers. As it is
on a chinese website it may not easily be available to all.

that's why I am sharing it here for the benfit of new comers to the vast
world of linux.

David Woodhouse's paper and slides give very good conceptual overview of
JFFS2.

Sure that is a good document on architecture of jffs2. But for a novice
what is more important is knowing what to find where in the kernel and
if something needs to be changed where should it be changed and so on.

I don't believe so as there are still a number of unsupported devices
and platforms.

If everything has already been done than there is nothing to do and we
should all go home.
