While compiling the mtd-20000131 with a  a 2.3.47 kernel I have received the
following messages:

I don't think the FFS code compiles on 2.3 kernels - it was developed on 2.2

In early 2.3 it could with a few minor changes, probably not anymore, the
VFS seems to be the most dynamic part of the kernel!

No, I am not working on it till summer, if at all.
