The mails sent to this list have previously had the following line, on
which people have presumably set procmail (or whatever) to filter:

Sender: owner-mtd@imladris.demon.co.uk

I'm phasing out all use of the Demon address, so as of now, that should have
changed to:

Sender: owner-mtd@infradead.org

Also, I've set up a new CNAME cvs.infradead.org which ought to be used
for CVS traffic, as that may be split from the rest of the functionality of
my existing machine.

This is because my machine is almost certainly going to have to be removed
from the premises of my current employer, when I leave their employ in
about three weeks' time to join Red Hat.

Hello, David!

Thank you for taking care of procmail users!
In fact, "Sender:" is not quite reliable. I'm using two rules, the above
one and "Return-Path: <owner-mtd@imladris.demon.co.uk>"

And yet there has been one message not recognized as coming from the list.

If possible, please arrange X-Mailing-List: to be set. This would be the
cleanest solution.

Regards,
Pavel Roskin

It should be reliable - nothing should get out of here with a Sender yet to
something other than owner-mtd (actually I think it doesn't set it at all,
and removes it if it's present). The only one which isn't caught by the
Sender rule would be....

Yes - someone sent to the outgoing address; the one to which majordomo sends
the mail after munging it, rather than to mtd@infradead.org

I should filter that off so it only accepts mail from majordomo, or just
make it a long random string of digits and stop it from appearing in the
Received headers.
