Hi,
has there ever been an "official" release of the MTD user space
utilities? I have included them in the PTXdist [1] project, but it is a
little bit unsatisfying only to make snapshots from time to time. If
not, would there be interest in making a packet? I would volunteer to do
this from time to time if nobody else does.
Btw, the mkcramfs utility has disappeared from recent kernels, it might
be an idea to add it to the MTD cvs.
Robert

just this morning i was also wondering if there ever has been or ever will be
an "official" release of MTD (that is, with a version number) rather than the
dated snapshots.
cheers,

The only 'official' releases of the kernel code are those which I send
to Marcelo and/or Linus for inclusion in their kernel trees.
There's been no release of the userspace code, and won't be until they
no longer include kernel-private headers. I need to split
linux/mtd/mtd.h into kernel-space and shared-abi parts.
