Hi 

I'm using intel p30 nor flash in one of my project. for uboot
loader how can i do read and write to nor flash with out using
file system.

I think you gonna have to elaborate on that, if you want advice from
others. So far, there just aint enuf info in your email.

Nor flash

Hi,


I'm using intel p30 nor flash on our custom board. The nor
device is mapped to boot device. It has bootloader in it . When
powered up it has to invoke  bootloader . I wanted to know how
the flow will be

Hi

we have  a custom board with nor flash( intel p30) and i'm
registering  the nor flash as mtd chrdev.
mtd->read and mtd->write maps to cfi_intelexread,
cfi_intelexwirte .
1. from the user level how can i write an application program to
access the device.

2. is it possible to use ioctl( ) for operations like
MEMGETINFO, MEMERASE........

It is preferred to have the reply below quoted text.  More to the
point, though, this is not the correct list for u-boot related
questions.  ppc-embedded is slightly better, but I'm sure there is a
dedicated u-boot mailing list as well.
