Thanks to many kind folks on this list I can now fdisk and mke2fs the doc. Now
I'm working with doc-lilo which I suspect won't work with mtd devices. I get
the following error.
Sorry don't know how to handle device 0x5d01
Do I need to get another boot loader ( ie grub ) or can I use a newer
version of lilo?

Last time I tried grub it wasn't working properly, although it was close. I
think you ought to be able to tell LILO that 0x5d01 is really BIOS drive
0x80. We support HDGETGEO and I think we match the geometry emulated by the
M-Systems drivers, so it ought to work.
