May I suggest opening a new mailing list named mtd-cvs (or mtd-dev)
for CVS reports. It seems like the CVS reports are starting to crowd
the mailing list, and most of the time I just file them away. I think
it would be ehlpful to everyone if the CVS messages would be put in a
separate mailing list.

Done. It's called mtd-cvs rather than mtd-dev because I'd prefer to keep
all discussion on the MTD list.
