No. but I'm getting tired of booting dos to do a getimage and putimage.  Is
there a way I can do this in Linux.  Maybe I can write the program to do it.

Have you been scessful using anything other than dlilo?  dlilo requires
execution after kernel updates.  I would prefer to use syslinux.
