I need do figure out how to: 1. get my wireless card into the database that cardmngr uses, because it just looks blankly at me when I insert a card and tells me that a hot switchable card has been inserted and doesn't know what file to associate with it, and I don't know how to tell it, when this hardware id it entered associate it with this driver file. 2. Also, I've been using http://linux.wlan.org to try to set it up because it says it supports my card, but the instruction don't actually include anything on what do do have you have successfully compiled it and installed it, and again it just stares at me blankly. It includes about 30 scripts and maybe I'll be able to get it to do something when I get the cardmgr working, but I really wish someone there was working are documenting how to use it, not just how to compile and install it. 3. Configuration is ambigous at best, but I figure I'll be able to get it working by playing around with it once I've figured out what file I need to assosicate with my wireless card and how to get cardmgr to stop looking at me blankly. Specs i386 (Mandrake 9.1) gcc 3.2 my card is the Linksys 802.11a/g WPC55AG Cardbus Atheros Any help, or pointers towards help would be very nice. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
