Sometimes I'll put one in the drive and Linux will fail to read it properly. Sometimes this means I just can't read the disk. Other times it means that the damn drive light stays on and the disk stays mounted and "busy" until I reboot the frickin PC. Does anyone know how to remedy such a situation without a reboot? --=20 Regards, Bryan Simmons=20 =3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D= -=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D=20 "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being=20 run by smart people who are putting us on or=20 by imbeciles who really mean it".=20 ---Mark Twain=20 =3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D= -=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D=20 --=-Y12LaQInYMJzQpunVA2j Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQA9mRgC0dAWZ6zmr0ARAjD3AJ9Dkgl10YviiSzMxES3732+vsRZQQCfWlOd eEp4WPQnBgVUP9831hA0/XY= =m0l8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-Y12LaQInYMJzQpunVA2j-- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
