Right now I'm running Gnome under RH 8.0 which uses the Metacity window manager be default, but I want to play around with Sawfish, and possibly other managers. Anyone know how to change this? I realize there was a recent thread related to a similar topic, but it seemed to focus on icewm and how to start it when X is started such as... startx /usr/bin/icewm -- :0 I feel like I have a good understanding of linux, even the kernel and it's source code, but not when X gets involved. I just don't have a good picture of desktop managers vs window managers, etc. Josh - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
