The linux kernel handles the SMP bits and all modern distros that I know of have all the necessary tools for SMP. The only ones that might not have that support would be some of the floppy distros but you can easily compile a kernel with SMP on any modern distro. --=20 Owen Ford --=-QjvSixCQn0kQkm8XkXic Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBBfWFw4bjUYpnk5/QRArBJAJ44Jx2tDAUJuYryfbMpEOzlyJW+tACgqu5+ IkdaB56c5tDvM/xpxO792oo= =Bi7k -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-QjvSixCQn0kQkm8XkXic-- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
