Message-ID: <AJPDDLBGPCPIABAA@whowhere.com> (raw)
I'm writing an ethernet driver. I wanted to know more about how packet is escalated to the higher application like ICMP. Is there any document that I can read so that I will know how it is being handled by OS.
I have here sets of question that I will really appreciate if somebody will take time to answer it.
1.) When I run dhcp is there a way for me to release IP and renew it thru ifconfig?
2.) I always get this SIOCSIFFLAGS resource busy unavailable whenever i run ifconfig up after ifconfig down, Is there anything that I can add to my code
to fix this problem.
3.) What is the source code for ifconfig?
Thanks...
gramel
