I have a little doubt about IDE disks with kernel 2.6.24. I am using Debian Lenny (testing). The kernel provided by Lenny is 2.6.24-1. I have an IDE disk and the boot process shows: "waiting for root filesystem". The Google says: "change hdX by sdX". It is working fine. But, I don't understand why I need to use sdX now. What is the reason? Thanks in advance!
