Subject: linux-next: manual merge of the staging tree with the devicetree tree
Date: Fri, 20 Jan 2017 13:55:01 +1100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20170120135501.635768a2@canb.auug.org.au> (raw)

Hi Greg,

Today's linux-next merge of the staging tree got a conflict in:

  Documentation/devicetree/bindings/vendor-prefixes.txt

between commit:

566088d1d2a0 ("devicetree: Add Fujitsu Ltd. vendor prefix")

from the devicetree tree and commit:

9b27c270d403 ("devicetree: add Garmin vendor prefix")

from the staging tree.

I fixed it up (see below) and can carry the fix as necessary. This
is now fixed as far as linux-next is concerned, but any non trivial
conflicts should be mentioned to your upstream maintainer when your tree
is submitted for merging. You may also want to consider cooperating
with the maintainer of the conflicting tree to minimise any particularly
complex conflicts.
