Embedded Benchmark for storage performance

Hi All,

 

I am trying to use an industry known Benchmark for performance, on my
OMAP platforms.

I have heard of various ones, but could not execute them from the
platform, meaning in arm/linux mode.

 

F.E.:

Could not find iozone3 linux-arm src I could compile for arm. Missing
file...

Hdbench clone seems to be a host utility - is it working for embedded as
well?

 

The only one I was able to execute is Bonnie.

I am not sure how industry known it is, but I can see this is kind of a
simple one, with not too many scenarios covered.

 

I would appreciate your inputs here.

With OpenEmbedded I built iozone3 for ARM without problems.

Hi Marcin,

I am able now to build the binary, however it is not built for arm.
When I check, by 'file iozone', I get the following:

		[root@localhost current]# file iozone
		iozone: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for 
		GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped

Which means it did not really built it using any relevant ARM compiler.

Ok, so next I tried to use the compiler I am using for any other means for my omap2430 platform (arm_v6_vfp_le_uclibc-gcc), and I get various errors.

Any idea what is wrong?!
