Hi

Here is the second version of ASoC support for OMAP. Now based to dev branch of
git://opensource.wolfsonmicro.com/linux-2.6-asoc but applies to linux-omap
by modifying Kconfig and Makefile in sound/soc/.

Code hasn't changed a very much. Some minor clean-ups etc and support for
OMAP2430 and 3430 is not included until we have updated
arch/arm/plat-omap/mcbsp.c module in place supporting them (work in progress).

This have the same issues than first version [1] but TODO list is different:
- Pin multiplexing: This belongs to .../plat-omap/mcbsp.c, not here
- Multiformat & multilink McBSP DAI: ASoC v2
- omap_mcbsp_start & _stop API change: Probably with or after updated mcbsp.c

Note that include/asm-arm/arch-omap/control.h is missing from vanilla kernel
at the moment but that's queued for 2.6.26.

Add common OMAP ASoC drivers and machine driver for Nokia N810. Currently
supported features are:

- Covers OMAPs from 1510 to 2420
- Common DMA driver
- DAI link driver using McBSP port in I2S mode
- Basic machine driver for Nokia N810

Looks good from an ASoC point of view, thanks - I've applied the patch
to the dev branch but won't push it anywhere for the time being.

Ok, I'll keep you informed when the include/asm-arm/arch-omap/control.h
is in and my omap-mcbsp.c compiles cleanly.

Currently the missing file it's in Russell's patch queue:

The platform_device_register() should be done in board-*.c files.

This way you will know which board has this snd_device when
compiling in support for multiple boards into the same kernel,
and you don't need to use machine_is_some_arm() in drivers.

You probably also will want to pass the struct clk * in the
platform_data so the driver can then do clk_enable/disable as needed.

This is a valid point. I think it should be possible to have also in
ASoC v1 e.g n810_mcbsp_aic33 driver whose probe function would be more
or less like n810_soc_init now. At least sound/soc/fsl/mpc8610_hpcd.c is
doing similar thing.

Mark, any thoughts?

Makes sense since only sys_clkout2 is used here and other two
sys_clkout2_src and func96m_clk are used to setup it to correct rate.

Leave it as-is for ASoC v1, the soc-audio device can't meaningfully be
defined in the platform data. ASoC v2 lets you define a device for the
platform driver for the particular board (as well as for things like I2S
controllers on the SoC) which deals with this a lot better.

I'll push this to linux-omap tree, and will replace it with whatever
falls from mainline tree later on.
