Oh just one register with few bits? That should be doable in
dts with pinctrl-single,bit-per-mux and pinctrl-single,bits.
There are examples in the kernel tree:
$ git grep -e pinctrl-single,bits -e pinctrl-single,bit-per-mux \
arch/arm/boot/dts
