From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Sasha Levin Subject: [PATCH AUTOSEL 4.14 03/34] mfd: twl-core: Fix section annotations on {,un}protect_pm_master Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2019 21:39:21 -0500 Message-ID: <20190213023952.21311-3-sashal@kernel.org> References: <20190213023952.21311-1-sashal@kernel.org> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Return-path: In-Reply-To: <20190213023952.21311-1-sashal@kernel.org> Sender: linux-kernel-owner@vger.kernel.org To: linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org, stable@vger.kernel.org Cc: Nathan Chancellor , Lee Jones , Sasha Levin , linux-omap@vger.kernel.org List-Id: linux-omap@vger.kernel.org From: Nathan Chancellor [ Upstream commit 8838555089f0345b87f4277fe5a8dd647dc65589 ] When building the kernel with Clang, the following section mismatch warning appears: WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x3d84a3b): Section mismatch in reference from the function twl_probe() to the function .init.text:unprotect_pm_master() The function twl_probe() references the function __init unprotect_pm_master(). This is often because twl_probe lacks a __init annotation or the annotation of unprotect_pm_master is wrong. Remove the __init annotation on the *protect_pm_master functions so there is no more mismatch.
