Hello
I have an OMAP 730 P2 reference board I am looking for an open source
implementation of the OMAP 730 I2S(Inter-IC sound) interface driver
which provides an serial data transfer interface between EAC(Enhanced
Audio Controller) and an analog audio device (Syren Chip) on OMAP 730
P2.
The kernel version I am running is 2.6.16-omap1 (patch-2.6.16-omap1).
Kindly help if you have come across or know of any open source
implementation of the I2S driver on OMAP 7xx. I tried searching in the
.config file which came with the patched kernel for an entry for I2S
driver, but couldn't find anything.
Please help.

We're publishing an EAC driver for OMAP2420 in the near future. It'll
be merged into the git repository. I don't know how different the EAC
blocks on OMAP2420 and OMAP7xx are, but I'm guessing the driver should
work on OMAP7xx with minimal modifications.

U can consider using McBSP driver for I2S protocol. This is the normal
connectivity on OMAP16xx and OMAP24xx platforms.
