On which board are you working? libertas does mean you are working on
wifi connected via SDIO?

Ok, you see a hang. Below we have a timeout.
I would vote for some interrupt issues. For timeouts I would vote for
missing interrupts, while system hang might be infinite interrupts
(something like this was reported in [1]).
Could you add some debug code in omap_hsmmc_enable_sdio_irq() to trace
if enable/disable is called in the correct order? And in
omap_hsmmc_irq() in if (status & CIRQ) { to check if and how often it
is called?
